Sample Goblets

I made these sample goblets for a class I hoped to assist teaching at John C. Campbell Folk School the first week of September.  Unfortunately, the class has been cancelled, so I thought I would post the samples here in the hopes some of my turning friends may see something they can use in their shop.

The three tallest turnings are 3 pieces (globe, stem and base).   All the shorter pieces are made from a single piece of wood.  Each of the turnings have at least one enhancement applied (texturing, coloring / tinting, carving, pyrography, piercing).   The only good piece of wood in the lot is the cherry burl globe – all other turnings were cutoffs (poplar, walnut and the acorn goblet may have been mahogany).   Hope you enjoy!
